The palace is a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture; it houses a seven storied Chandra Mahal in the centre, which affords a fine view of the gardens and the city, visit Palace Museum also, Observatory - built in 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the huge masonry instruments were used to study the movement of constellations and stars in the sky. Enormous sun-dial still provides accurate times, which are subject to daily corrections. Also visit Jal Mahal (water palace), Hawa Mahal- built in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, is the most recognizable monument of Jaipur. The 5 storied stunning semi-octagonal monument having 152 windows with over hanging latticed balconies is a fine piece of Rajput architecture. After breakfast drive to Pushkar, en-route visit the holy shrine of Ajmer visiting Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. On arrival in Pushkar, check in hotel. Afternoon city tour of Pushkar visiting Brahma Temple- This is the only temple in the world where Lord Brahma is worshiped. Also visit Pushkar Lake and Savitri Temple, the temple is dedicated to Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma and located on the top of the Ratnagiri Hill. After breakfast we proceed towards the city of love…..Agra. En-route visiting the phantom city of Fatehpur Sikri: the erstwhile capital of the Mughal emperor Akbar the Great, visit the diwan-i-am - the hall of public audiences where the emperor used to give justice. See Jodhabai’s palace (Akbar’s Hindu wife) that is even bigger than his own private palace. Later visit Salim Chisti’s tomb at the nearby mosque. Salim chisti was a Sufi saint who blessed Akbar and his Hindu wife with a long awaited son. Akbar was so overwhelmed that he built a mosque in his remembrance to thank the Sufi saint. On arrival in Agra check-in hotel. After wash & change visit Agra Fort built by Akbar that houses many fabulous palaces built in Indo -Islamic style. See the marble Palace of Shahjhan that was built with the remaining and rejected stones from the Taj Mahal – Mussamman Burj. Also visit Itmad ud Daulah – it is the first mughal building built out completely of marble. In many contexts it is referred to being the predecessor of the Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj is a white marble memorial that houses the tomb of his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. This monument took 22 years to be completed and was designed, and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from its stunning design, balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen anywhere in the world.
